Friends of Off Leash Areas - Cowlitz Welcome!

Saying a dog park is just for dogs is like saying a golf course is for the golf balls. It's about people enjoying their chosen form of outdoor recreation

FOLA developed out of the grass roots efforts of a local dog owner who began in early 2004 gathering information and support for the creation of an off leash park.  As support has grown, we have met with local governments advocating facilities where the public can recreate with dogs free from the connection of a leash.

Rain/Shade Shelter Project

DONATIONS NEEDED!
Eagle Scout candidate Austin Marsden has be planning his project to build a rain/shade shelter at the off leash area.  This first shelter will be located in the large area. Another shelter is lined up for another Eagle Scout project at a later date for the small dog area.  While Austin has already met with the Longview Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and received their approval, he has also been seeking donations for material, equipment and volunteers to help with the project.   The shelter when completed will be a 20' x 16' pole building with a metal roof.  Work will be done on Saturdays. Donations can be made at Fibre Federal Credit Union, account #451753 "Dog Park Shelter"
